Cinco de Drinko – Just Oleg’s Virgin Lay
Time for Beantown to commemorate the momentous Battle of the Puebla, in which a small force of Mexicans lead by General Zaragoza defeated the larger better equipped forces of the colonial French. This victory was exploited by President Diaz for popularity and later by beer and liquor companies to sell alcohol to the point where the holiday today is a US celebration of Mexican heritage that isn’t even observed in Mexico, but sells more beer than St. Paddy’s Day! In the true spirit of the holiday, let’s drink cerveza!
